"257" is a piece I am working on that in hope, I will touch a nerve of the patience and diligence that this tool provided. There are 257 teeth on the full length of the blade of this saw. My art that I am going top bring forward is to use a repetitious rituals to accentuate the 257 teeth that have worked so diligently throughout its history.
I will be counting the teeth 257 times and documenting each pass with a small drill hole in the field of the body of the saw. Secondly, I will be sawing through pieces of wood 257 times. Lastly, I will take 257 strokes of the saw in a piece of lumber exactly 257 mm long and then retire the saw completely from any future work.
