Frame work
We have an amazing artist resource here in the Roaring Fork Valley, deep in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. This Mecca is the Wyly Art Center. This is a soup to nuts arts organization with galleries, art classes, lectures, you name it, all based in the small town of Basalt.
One of the "call to action" events is a sculpture competition to have local artist pay tribute to a pencil...that is how I interpreted it.
So above is the foundation of my entry. It may be too literal but I like being overly literal, it's a gift. So I will be posting the progress and I always welcome your input.

I am feeling great about this sculpture honoring the pencil. The is not the base of course, the base will be a structure baried in the ground and the object will appear to be somewhat floating. Pretty sweet. Stay tuned
