This is part two to my recap of my first solo opening at The Art Base Annex in Basalt.
What an amazing week it has been! First I want to thank everyone who show up last Friday night, I am touched and grateful for your support, 125+ people showed up for some art and possibly some of the best Rye Manhattan's in town. Thanks to Woody Creek Distillery for hooking us up with their award winning Rye Whiskey
One super cool part of the week is that I was featured in the Weekend Arts section of the Aspen Time. Sweetness abounds, here is the link to that article.

And on top of this awesome press, I was honored to be part of the Basalt Middle Schools Art class field trips. On Thursday and Friday the art base and my Mecanical Love Stories show was the first stop for these middle schoolers, it was awesome to see their reactions. Some loved it, some were interested, some were in different and a couple of kids would have preferred to be playing soccer...perfect! I took some pictures of some of the students getting face first in my work. In my book, mission accomplished.
I also wanted to point out, In the first paragraph of the The Aspen Time Article they mentioned that people give me things to to work with, this nice patron wanted to give me a old phone...But this is no ordinary phone, it this THIS kind of phone! How could I resist? I am only human (with total Bad ass taste!)
My work seems to have an unexpected ability to crossover many bridges from Art Collectors to Machinist, Fine Artist to disinterested boy friends of girls on a "First Friday Night" art walks.
I could not be more please. My next show will be in June at The Red Brick Art Center in Aspen, Colorado.
